What is White Sage:
White sage is a plant (Salvia Apiana) and can be used in rituals and prayers, to purify a house, a person or a group. The white sage smudge stick is made of the dried leaves of the plant. How to use it: light a leaf or couple of leaves of the smudge stick with matches and let it burn for a little bit. You can blow the fire out, but it is better to use a feather to fan the flames.
Make sure you’re not under influence (alcohol/drugs) while using sage. And try to be mindful.
Then pray, cleanse yourself, another person or a group. And/or cleanse your house or a space.
You can do this by walking through your house or the space with the smudge stick and allowing the smoke to find it’s way in to the room. You can also use a feather to spread the smoke amongst the room. You can cleanse yourself, someone else or a group by moving the smoking smudge stick around the person. Here also can you use a feather to spread the smoke if you would like to. While doing this you can pray or set an intention.
